Synopsis
Conduit/ 2019
The story is told entirely through the lens of several security cameras set-up in the room in which the girl, May, is kept prisoner. These cameras document a series of nights in May’s life under observation.
The main character is May, a young girl whose been through some tough times but has found solace in her teddy bear. Together they find the power and courage to break free and escape. Filmmaker's Statement: "Often we are told to abandon our childhood innocence as we age. The idea that softness and toughness cannot exist together is something we're taught when we become adults when, in fact, so much of human existence is the juxtaposition of whimsy and horror. Conduit explores that dynamic and counters that our connections to childhood can often be our strengths and that evil is not an enemy to only be defeated in adulthood." |
